This is a 1 year contract role with potential to extend.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>About The Role:</strong></p><p><br></p><p>The Compliance &amp; Privacy Officer is responsible for ensuring that the business&#39; practices related to organizational compliance and quality meet legislative, regulatory and contractual requirements, international standards and best practices.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Develop, maintain and monitor a quality program to improve general organizational compliance and quality.</li><li>Support with contracts and agreements inclusive of advising on contractual requirements, drafting, reviewing and updating templates.</li><li>Monitor compliance with Imagine Canada&#39;s Standards Program, writing and submitting reports in order to maintain accreditation.</li><li>Maintain a privacy management program that is accountable and abides by Canadian federal, provincial and territorial legislation and regulations, international standards and best practices.</li><li>Monitor privacy compliance, assessing effectiveness and revising program controls as necessary.</li><li>Coordinate and follow up on external PIAs, audits and inspections.</li><li>Manage privacy breaches, inquiries and complaints.</li></ul>

This position will play a key role in strengthening governance, supporting privacy obligations, and improving internal controls across the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a trade compliance professional who enjoys navigating complex regulations, partnering across functions, and improving the efficiency and compliance of international trade processes.</p><p><br></p><p>As a key member of the Finance and Administration team, you will help ensure customs compliance while supporting business goals, operational performance, and cost-saving initiatives.
