This position is responsible for managing the organization&#39;s day-to-day accounting functions while ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting month-end and year-end close activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the company&#39;s financial records and providing reliable financial information to support business decisions.</p><p><br></p><p>This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently while collaborating closely with leadership in a dynamic, manufacturing environment.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Manage full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting functions </li><li>Maintain the General Ledger and ensure accuracy of all financial transactions </li><li>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP </li><li>Complete month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations </li><li>Perform bank, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations </li><li>Maintain prepaid expense, accrual, inventory, and fixed asset schedules </li><li>Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions </li><li>Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll while maintaining payroll records- 80 Employees- Non Union- Dayforce</li><li>Coordinate statutory remittances and government filings including HST, WSIB, garnishments, and other required submissions </li><li>Reconcile sub-ledgers to the General Ledger </li><li>Manage cash receipts, bank deposits, petty cash, and cash reconciliations </li><li>Maintain accurate accounting documentation and supporting records </li><li>Assist with management reporting by providing financial analysis and insights </li><li>Maintain personnel files and payroll-related documentation as required </li><li>Support audits and ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls </li><li>Participate in special projects and perform additional accounting duties as assigned </li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p>
