  • <p>We are looking for an experienced Controller to join a growing manufacturing organization in Mississauga, Ontario on a Contract basis. This role will lead critical accounting and audit support activities in a complex multi-entity environment, with an immediate focus on reconciliations, financial analysis, and preparing accurate documentation for external auditors. The successful candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to bring structure to a fast-moving finance function during a period of continued expansion.</p><p><br></p><ul><li><strong>This is a 1-month contract opportunity with 5 days onsite requirement in Mississauga (Pearson airport area).</strong></li><li><strong>Prior experience working on CRA audit or public accounting is strongly desired. </strong></li></ul><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Lead the preparation of reconciliations, supporting schedules, and working papers required to address external audit requests across multiple entities.</p><p>• Review historical financial activity to identify discrepancies, explain variances, and clarify the treatment of deposits, sales, refunds, and intercompany transactions.</p><p>• Partner with internal stakeholders to organize accounting records and strengthen the quality of information provided to auditors within required timelines.</p><p>• Investigate account balances and cash movements between related entities and bank accounts to ensure transactions are properly supported and accurately reflected.</p><p>• Assess accounting entries in QuickBooks Desktop and recommend corrective actions where balances, classifications, or postings require adjustment.</p><p>• Help establish a more disciplined financial reporting approach that supports ongoing business growth and improves finance team effectiveness.</p><p>• Provide hands-on support for audit follow-up items, including documentation gathering, issue tracking, and resolution of outstanding questions.</p><p>• Identify areas where prior accounting treatment may require amendments or further review and communicate findings clearly to leadership.</p>
