- <p>Our client, a non-profit organization in <strong>Calgary</strong>, is seeking a <strong>Financial Analyst</strong> for a long-term contract. This role will support core finance activities, including accounts receivable, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with operational leaders and budget owners to provide financial insights and support informed decision-making.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee accounts receivable activities and maintain accurate financial records.</li><li>Perform bank and cash reconciliations across multiple branches, investigating and resolving discrepancies.</li><li>Support salary and benefits budgeting by preparing analysis, validating assumptions, and contributing to planning discussions.</li><li>Partner with budget owners and operational teams to explain financial results and provide guidance.</li><li>Prepare monthly forecast updates and compile information for month-end reporting packages.</li><li>Support year-end activities, including receivables balances and supporting documentation.</li><li>Review contract-related financial obligations and support accurate reporting and disclosures.</li><li>Assist with related-party disclosures by gathering and validating financial data.</li><li>Use financial systems and Excel tools, including lookups and macros, to analyze data and improve reporting accuracy.</li><li>Support salary and benefits integration in coordination with existing finance processes and systems.</li></ul><p><br></p>
