Serving clients across infrastructure, environmental, forestry, energy, utilities, and resource sectors, the organization offers the stability of an established business with the momentum and opportunity of a growing enterprise.</p><p><br></p><p>Reporting to the <strong>Controller</strong> and working closely with the <strong>CFO</strong>, this role will oversee a team of four accounting professionals while taking ownership of the accounting function, month-end close, and financial reporting processes.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What You&#39;ll Be Doing</strong></p><ul><li>Lead and mentor a team of 4 accounting staff</li><li>Manage the full accounting cycle and month-end close process</li><li>Prepare month-end and year-end financial statements and reporting packages</li><li>Review and post accruals, intercompany transactions, and journal entries</li><li>Maintain general ledger integrity and balance sheet reconciliations</li><li>Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and project accounting activities</li><li>Ensure timely government remittances and regulatory compliance</li><li>Partner closely with operations and business services teams to support accurate project billings</li><li>Assist with payroll reconciliations and year-end requirements as needed</li><li>Support the annual audit and year-end review process</li><li>Drive process improvements, workflow efficiencies, and AP automation initiatives</li><li>Play a key role in ongoing ERP optimization and finance transformation projects</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p>

  • <p>We are looking for a Manager of Finance/Admin to join our client in the<strong> natural resource sector</strong> in Vancouver, British Columbia on a one-year contract basis. This role combines financial leadership with administrative and operational oversight, supporting accurate reporting, effective controls, and smooth day-to-day business functions. The successful candidate will contribute to budgeting, compliance, payroll, and corporate administration while partnering with internal teams and external stakeholders. Relevant experience in the same industry will be highly preferred. </p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Direct day-to-day accounting activities and ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and current.</p><p>• Produce monthly financial statements and management reporting packages, while supporting quarterly and year-end reporting cycles.</p><p>• Contribute to budget development, forecasting activities, and cash flow planning, and track spending against approved financial plans.</p><p>• Support the preparation of public company disclosure materials and help coordinate audit requirements, regulatory submissions, and securities-related documentation.</p><p>• Administer payroll and oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking activity, and related financial operations.</p><p>• Maintain insurance files, contractual records, corporate documentation, and vendor relationships to support efficient office administration.</p><p>• Assist with Board meeting logistics and ensure corporate records are organized and retained in line with governance expectations.</p><p>• Coordinate onboarding activities, benefits administration, personnel documentation, and other HR support functions, including recruitment and performance review processes.</p><p>• Strengthen adherence to internal policies by monitoring financial procedures, improving administrative workflows, and upholding document retention standards.</p><p>• Provide guidance to accounting and administrative staff and collaborate with departments such as geology, engineering, investor relations, and corporate development on business priorities.</p>
