Video Producer Job Description

The video producer creates and develops content for internal company announcement videos, external promotional social videos, product marketing videos, recruiting videos, corporate training and other enterprise-wide projects. This professional is responsible for recording and editing video and sound projects, including selecting program format for final output, capturing and importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and sound files, and creating and inserting static and motion graphics. Employers seek candidates experienced with using professional and “prosumer” video equipment, as well as editing software such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro X.

Typical video producer duties:

Scripting, storyboarding, budgeting, allocating resources, setting deadlines and selecting optimal forms of media for projectsMaintaining creative and technical standards for video programmingHiring and managing freelance videographers and video editors, and directing and coaching talent
