A SOX manager is responsible for overseeing an organization's Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance program and helping ensure the effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting. These professionals lead compliance initiatives, coordinate control testing activities and support efforts to address audit findings and control deficiencies. As regulatory priorities shift, SOX managers play a critical role in supporting compliance, risk management and financial reporting integrity. SOX managers work closely with accounting, finance, internal audit, compliance and operational leaders to evaluate control environments and monitor compliance with regulatory requirements. Their leadership helps organizations strengthen internal controls, improve audit readiness and maintain confidence in financial reporting processes.
