As federal disclosure requirements ease and investors demand transparency through other channels, SOX directors play a key role in maintaining strong governance, reducing risk and preserving stakeholder confidence.SOX directors work closely with executive leadership, finance, accounting, internal audit, compliance and operational teams to oversee enterprise-wide control frameworks and compliance initiatives. Their leadership helps organizations strengthen governance practices, improve audit readiness and support accurate financial reporting across the business.

Typical SOX director duties:
