Package Designer in Oklahoma City, OK

Package Designer Job Description

The core responsibility of this creative role is to design packaging such as boxes, bottles and bags for consumer products, food, beverages, clothing, cosmetics and other items. Packaging designers lead the process of brainstorming and sketching ideas for packaging; creating prototypes; and refining prototypes based on feedback from clients, engineers and consumer safety groups. These professionals must be skilled at using Adobe Creative Suite applications and 3D software programs and understand marketing trends and consumer tastes. Knowledge of materials such as paper and plastics is helpful.

Typical package designer duties:

Collaborates with marketing and creative teams, especially graphic designers and copywriters, to create eye-catching designsWorking with elements such as shape, color, graphics and typography to create packaging that is unique, functional and appealing to customersPresenting designs to clients and stakeholders using sketches and design software, and ensuring successful representation of clients’ brands
