Motion Designer Job Description

Motion designers create animated and video artwork for the web, television or film. Projects may include commercials, movie clips, stand-alone presentations, trailers, title sequences and post-production work. Candidates should be proficient in software programs such as After Effects, Cinema 4D, Final Cut Pro X, and Premiere Pro. This position requires a willingness to embrace new design, video and audio technologies. A thorough understanding of 2D/3D animation and audio and video compression techniques is essential.

Typical motion designer duties:

Preparing the design plan, concept and layout for motion graphic projectsCollaborating with creative teams to generate new design ideas and define the scope and objectives of intended projectsEnsuring motion graphics adhere to company guidelines and design standards
