IT Auditor Job Description

IT auditors must have broad knowledge of the technical infrastructure and architecture of computer systems, as well as exposure to platforms such as operating systems, networks, databases and ERP systems. These professionals must possess excellent interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation and leadership abilities. Employers typically seek a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, finance or a similar field. A CIA or CISA designation also may be required.
