Banker Job Description

Bankers should have strong interpersonal, marketing and customer relationship skills as well as a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or finance. A master’s degree in these fields is preferred. At least three to five years of prior corporate financial lending experience is required.

Typical banker duties:

Generating and closing business with the high net worth market, professional associations and investor group segmentConsulting with customers regarding their financial needs and recommending various financial products and servicesPreparing loan packages for credit review and underwriting and servicing accountsAnalyzing tax returns and financial statementsManaging complex portfolios of loans, trusts and depositsSupporting senior-level bankers in managing larger, more complex account relationships
