The Role<ul><li>Oversee the full compliance framework by developing and maintaining programs and internal policies aligned with Japanese fintech regulations, conducting risk assessments and monitoring, ensuring effective controls, audit readiness, internal investigations, and managing all regulatory registrations, inspections, and interactions with authorities.</li><li>Embed compliance across the business by advising product, operations, treasury, legal, verification, marketing, and sales teams, monitoring regulatory changes, and implementing required updates to processes, controls, and new compliance tools or software.</li><li>Lead compliance governance and reporting by providing semiannual reports to the Board and executive team, supervising training and documentation initiatives, and ensuring accurate and timely responses to compliance due-diligence requests from global partners, investors, and financial institutions.</li><li>Manage and develop the compliance team, driving continuous improvement, capability building, mentoring, and effective cross-border alignment with global affiliates and external partners.</li></ul> Your Skills<ul><li>5+ years of compliance experience in a regulated financial services / fintech / banking environment in Japan</li><li>Strong knowledge of the Japanese fintech regulatory environment (e.g., Instalment Sales Act, AML/CFT, Payment Services Act, APPI)</li><li>Prior people management experience</li><li>Native / fluent Japanese and business level English</li></ul> Key Highlights of the Role<ul><li>Company is growing year on year</li><li>Company is very international with half of the employees being non-Japanese</li><li>Very competitive salary packages provided, with additional salary increment based on annual performance evaluation</li><li>Profit sharing (paid twice a year)</li><li>Language support and self study support</li><li>Company average overtime is less than 10 hour per month.
