  • <p class="isSelectedEnd">We are working exclusively with a growing and well-regarded construction business to appoint a Junior Estimator as part of their expanding commercial function.</p><p class="isSelectedEnd">This role is ideally suited to someone with 2-3 years' industry experience who is looking to build a long-term career in estimating, with clear progression into a more senior position over time.</p><p class="isSelectedEnd">The Opportunity<br />You will join an experienced pre-construction team and gain hands-on exposure to the full tendering process, supporting the delivery of accurate and commercially competitive bids across a diverse project portfolio.</p><p class="isSelectedEnd">This is a genuine development role, offering structured support and mentorship for someone looking to take the next step in their career.</p><p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul data-spread="false"><li>Assisting in the preparation of detailed cost estimates and tender submissions</li><li>Producing quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications</li><li>Engaging with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain and analyse quotations</li><li>Supporting bid strategy and value engineering exercises</li><li>Maintaining cost data and assisting with pricing benchmarks</li><li>Working closely with senior estimators on live tenders</li></ul><p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong>About You</strong></p><ul data-spread="false"><li>2-3 years' experience in construction (estimating, commercial, or quantity surveying background)</li><li>Strong interest in developing a career in <strong>pre-construction / estimating</strong></li><li>Good numerical and analytical ability with strong attention to detail</li><li>Comfortable working with Excel; exposure to estimating software is advantageous</li><li>Proactive, motivated, and keen to learn within a fast-paced environment</li></ul><p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong>What's on Offer</strong></p><ul data-spread="false"><li>£35,000 - £40,000 salary (depending on experience)</li><li>Clear progression into Estimator and Senior Estimator roles</li><li>Ongoing mentorship and development within an experienced team</li><li>Exposure to a variety of projects and sectors</li></ul><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
