- <p>Robert Half are recruiting an Accountant on a short term basis for a well-established bookkeeping and accountancy practice near Cirencester.</p><p>Working directly with the Director, you will play a key role in preparing management accounts and draft year-end accounts for a varied portfolio of clients.</p><p>This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous accountancy practice experience who can quickly become productive and work with minimal supervision.</p><p>Key Responsibilities Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts for a portfolio of clients.</p><p>Assisting with the preparation of draft year-end accounts.</p><p>Reviewing bookkeeping records and ensuring accuracy and completeness.</p><p>Performing bank, control account and balance sheet reconciliations.</p><p>Investigating and resolving accounting discrepancies and queries.</p><p>Maintaining accurate accounting records and supporting compliance requirements.</p><p>Liaising with the Managing Director regarding client work and deadlines.</p><p>Providing general accounting and bookkeeping support as required.</p><p>Skills & Experience Required</p><p>Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is highly desirable.</p><p>Strong bookkeeping and accounting knowledge.</p><p>Experience preparing management accounts and draft statutory/year-end accounts.</p><p>Confident using accounting software such as Xero, Sage and QuickBooks.</p><p>Excellent reconciliation and problem-solving skills.</p><p>High level of accuracy and attention to detail.</p><p>Ability to manage workloads independently and prioritise effectively.</p><p> </p><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
