Due to significant expansion they now seek to recruit a financial controller to work directly with the CFO based at their Reading head office. You will be responsible for developing processes, supporting FP&A and business partnering activities across a range of recently acquired entities, forecasting, working capital and cashflow actuals to the board, development of the P&L and ensure robustness in their core reporting systems. The successful candidate will be a commercially aware individual who will be technically proficient and will have up to date knowledge of all current accounting standards. You will oversee and develop 5 reports and build business partnering relationships with the wider operational leadership team.For this role it is essential that you are a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), are proficient technically (production of accounts from top to bottom) and have demonstratable experience of driving revenue and reducing cost in a fast paced, commercial environment. <h3>Financial Accountant - 15 Month Fixed-Term Contract</h3>Location: Warwick (Hybrid - 3 days in office) Salary: CompetitiveA well-established, global organisation is looking for a Financial Accountant to join its Financial Control & Accounting team on a 15-month fixed-term basis.Working closely with the Chief Accountant, this role will focus on period-end reporting, balance sheet integrity, and maintaining a strong financial control environment.<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Deliver accurate and timely month-end and period-end reporting</li><li>Reconcile key balance sheet accounts with supporting documentation</li><li>Investigate and resolve discrepancies, ensuring issues are fully closed out</li><li>Provide variance analysis against plan and forecast, identifying key drivers</li><li>Support continuous improvement across reporting, controls, and reconciliation processes</li><li>Partner with commercial and operational teams to support financial performance</li></ul><h3>About You</h3><ul><li>Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)</li><li>Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)</li><li>Proven experience in reconciliations and financial reporting</li><li>Working knowledge of VAT and corporate tax</li><li>Experience using ERP systems (SAP desirable)</li><li>Methodical, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving</li></ul><h3>Team & Environment</h3><ul><li>Part of a well-established finance team</li><li>Collaborative and supportive culture</li><li>Exposure to both financial control and commercial partnering</li></ul> Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
