Education Manager
<p>Our client, a respected First Nations community located in the Fraser Valley, is seeking an experienced and passionate Education Manager to provide leadership, coordination, and oversight of educational programs and services within the community.</p><p><br></p><p>This is a unique opportunity for an education professional who is committed to supporting Indigenous learners, strengthening community-based education initiatives, and building positive relationships with students, families, staff, leadership, and external partners.</p><p><br></p><p>Reporting to senior leadership, the Education Manager will oversee the planning, development, and delivery of education programs while ensuring services align with community priorities, cultural values, and the educational goals of the Nation.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Provide leadership and direction for education programs and services.</li><li>Develop, implement, and evaluate educational initiatives that support student success.</li><li>Work collaboratively with community leadership, families, schools, post-secondary institutions, and external organizations.</li><li>Support the delivery of culturally appropriate education programs and services.</li><li>Oversee education budgets, funding agreements, and program reporting requirements.</li><li>Manage relationships with local school districts, educational partners, and government agencies.</li><li>Support students from early learning through post-secondary education.</li><li>Provide guidance and mentorship to education staff and program coordinators.</li><li>Assist with the development of policies, procedures, and best practices related to education services.</li><li>Monitor program outcomes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.</li><li>Prepare reports, updates, and recommendations for leadership.</li><li>Advocate for the educational needs and success of community members.</li><li>Support initiatives that promote student engagement, retention, and achievement.</li><li>Ensure programs reflect community values, traditions, and cultural priorities.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p>
<p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>Post-secondary education in Education, Indigenous Studies, Leadership, Administration, or a related field.</li><li>5+ years of progressive experience within education, community services, or Indigenous education.</li><li>Experience working with First Nations communities and understanding of Indigenous education priorities is highly preferred.</li><li>Strong knowledge of educational programming, funding structures, and community-based services.</li><li>Experience managing programs, budgets, and reporting requirements.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.</li><li>Strong communication, relationship-building, and collaboration skills.</li><li>Ability to work respectfully with diverse groups, including students, families, educators, and community members.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and administrative systems.</li><li>Valid BC Driver’s License is required.</li></ul><p><strong>What Our Client Offers</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive compensation package based on experience.</li><li>Comprehensive benefits package.</li><li>Meaningful opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of the community.</li><li>Supportive and collaborative working environment.</li><li>Opportunity to build strong relationships and create lasting impact through education.</li></ul><p>If this sounds like the role for you, please apply today!
