Systems Administrator
<p><strong>Overview</strong></p><p>Our Calgary-based client is seeking a hands-on Systems Administrator to support a growing and evolving technology environment across multiple business entities. Following recent acquisitions, the organization is investing heavily in infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity, server migrations, endpoint standardization, and technology integration initiatives.</p><p><br></p><p>This role will play a key part in bringing newly acquired businesses onto corporate technology standards while supporting day-to-day infrastructure operations. The successful candidate will be comfortable balancing strategic project work, systems administration, endpoint management, and occasional hands-on technical support when required.</p><p><br></p><p>This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working across a broad technology landscape, taking ownership of infrastructure initiatives, and contributing within a collaborative and highly hands-on IT team.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Support the integration of newly acquired businesses into the corporate IT environment.</li><li>Administer, maintain, and support Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune, Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Exchange Online.</li><li>Manage Microsoft Intune, including device management, endpoint security, software deployment, and policy administration.</li><li>Participate in server migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and technology modernization initiatives.</li><li>Administer and support Cisco Meraki network infrastructure.</li><li>Manage endpoint lifecycle activities including provisioning, deployment, refreshes, onboarding, and decommissioning.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve escalated infrastructure, networking, server, cloud, and systems-related issues.</li><li>Support cybersecurity initiatives and ensure adherence to established technology standards.</li><li>Assist with onsite technology deployments, hardware installations, office infrastructure projects, and occasional deskside support.</li><li>Collaborate with internal IT teams across multiple locations to maintain consistent support practices and operational standards.</li><li>Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and system configurations.</li><li>Participate in ongoing infrastructure improvement initiatives and project delivery activities.</li></ul>
<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>5+ years of experience in Systems Administration, Infrastructure Support, or a related role.</li><li>Strong experience supporting Microsoft enterprise environments, including Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune, Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Exchange Online.</li><li>Experience with endpoint management, device provisioning, software deployment, and endpoint security.</li><li>Experience supporting Cisco Meraki networking environments.</li><li>Strong understanding of server infrastructure, networking, cloud technologies, and enterprise IT operations.</li><li>Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues across cloud, server, network, and endpoint environments.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to technology support.</li><li>Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li></ul><p><strong>Nice to Have:</strong></p><ul><li>Exposure to multi-entity or managed services environments</li><li>Experience supporting small to mid-sized businesses across different industries</li></ul>
