The Director manages complex eDiscovery projects, provides expert consultation, and leads a specialized team. This position demands profound technical expertise in eDiscovery platforms, strategic thinking, and proven leadership in a legal environment. Typically, 10-15+ years of progressive experience in litigation support or eDiscovery, with 5+ years in a leadership role, is required. Relevant certifications (e.g., CEDS) are highly valued. A deep understanding of Canadian legal procedures and E-Discovery rules is paramount.

Typical litigation support/eDiscovery director duties:

Define and execute the strategic vision for litigation support and eDiscovery services.Oversee all phases of the EDRM lifecycle for complex legal matters.Lead, mentor, and develop a team of litigation support professionals.Manage vendor relationships and optimize technology solutions.Develop and implement best practices, policies, and workflows.Provide expert consultation to legal teams on eDiscovery strategies.Ensure compliance with Canadian E-Discovery rules and privacy legislation.Manage budgets and resources for the department.
