The HR Assistant supports the HR team by ensuring efficient administrative operations and contributes to a positive experience for employees. This position demands strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, basic computer proficiency, and a professional demeanor. Typically, 0-1 year of experience in an office or administrative support role is preferred, or a recent graduate with relevant coursework. A high school diploma is essential, with a college diploma in a related field beneficial. An understanding of basic Canadian workplace etiquette and the importance of confidentiality is crucial.

Typical HR assistant duties:

Perform data entry and maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS.Assist with filing and organizing HR documentation, both physical and electronic.Schedule interviews, meetings, and HR-related appointments.Prepare basic HR letters, memos, and forms.Support onboarding by preparing new hire packages.Assist with routine employee inquiries and direct them to appropriate HR staff.Manage HR mail, supplies, and general office support.Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information.
