In close collaboration with the CEO and Board, we defined the ideal candidate profile and identified a set of comparative organisations and target industries. Drawing on our extensive national network and prior success in commercial leadership searches, we launched a targeted campaign across NSW, VIC, and QLD, ultimately generating a longlist of 150 qualified candidates across Australia.
From this pool, we built a shortlist of 10 high-calibre candidates, each offering unique combinations of sales, marketing, and partnership experience. All 10 proceeded to first-stage interviews, with four advancing to second-round panels, and three finalists presenting detailed go-to-market strategies to the board and executive leadership team.
One standout candidate was selected. Despite having a three-month notice period and a restraint-of-trade clause, we successfully negotiated terms that allowed a smooth and compliant onboarding process, with no delays or legal issues.
