The commercial team is responsible for monthly management reporting, analysis and business partnering across the business whilst also making time for various ad hoc tasks, including tendering, contract analysis, and involvement in M&A activity. Some of your key responsibilities will include:<ul><li>Preparing and analysing the month-end close process for a specific area of the business, with detailed commentary</li><li>Reviewing systems and processes and identifying opportunities for improvement</li><li>Building financial models to track cost and revenue changes and ensure correct invoicing</li><li>Assisting with annual budgets, forecasts, and profit improvement projects</li><li>Coordinating with operations to make sure contract claims are captured in financial processes</li><li>Providing strong analytical support for projects, helping the business make informed decisions</li><li>Gaining a deep understanding of KPIs, measuring performance, and highlighting key areas</li><li>Handling other ad-hoc projects as required</li></ul>Your Profile In this case, my client is looking to hire one of two different profiles. In an ideal world, you will be taking your first step out of practise (audit, tax or business advisory) with a thirst for working in a highly commercial business. It is likely that you will have just achieved your CA qualification or be near to finishing it (in which case they will support you).My client will also consider someone who has earned their strips within a commercial setting, but it is critical that you have completed or are studying. It is likely that you will be looking to broaden the commercial nature of your role.
