<p><strong>Client Profile</strong></p><p>Our client is a global Real Estate Investments firm looking to grow their Tokyo team, particularly within the Funds/SPC Accounting practice.<br /><br /><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Manage day-to-day accounting operations of SPCs, including journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly/quarterly closings.</li><li>Prepare and review financial statements under JGAAP and IFRS (as applicable).</li><li>Coordinate with trust banks, property managers, auditors, and tax advisors on SPC-related matters.</li><li>Ensure compliance with local regulations, tax filings, and reporting requirements.</li><li>Support asset acquisition, financing, and disposition processes from an SPC accounting perspective.</li><li>Oversee cash flow management, including distributions to investors.</li><li>Review and monitor budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis for SPCs.</li><li>Lead or support investor reporting, including preparation of quarterly reports and ad-hoc analysis.</li><li>(Associate Director level) Supervise and mentor junior staff; manage external accounting/tax service providers; liaise with senior management and investment teams on structuring and reporting.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or similar qualification preferred.</li><li>Any years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, preferably in real estate investment, asset management, or Big 4 audit/tax for real estate clients.</li><li>Strong knowledge of SPC structures, JGAAP, and tax/accounting for real estate transactions.</li><li>Familiarity with IFRS reporting and consolidation a plus.</li><li>Experience coordinating with external auditors, trust banks, and tax advisors.</li><li>Business-level Japanese and English (written and spoken).</li><li>Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul><p><strong>Salary</strong></p><p>6M - 20M JPY</p><p><strong>Location</strong></p><p>Tokyo</p><p> </p><p>Reference Number: 06940-0013274727</p><p><em>By clicking 'apply', you give your express consent that Robert Half may use your personal information to process your job application and to contact you from time to time for future employment opportunities.
