The RoleWe are seeking an ERP Project Manager to join a cross-functional transformation team driving the implementation of a new ERP system (SAP S/4HANA) across the Supply Chain Management organization. This role acts as the SCM-side Project Manager for the ERP rollout, covering Planning, Manufacturing, and Logistics. You will lead business-side review, testing, and change management activities, and work to ensure smooth integration across functions and within the new ERP platform. This is a high-visibility position with direct exposure to senior SCM leadership and cross-functional stakeholders across the business, IT, and external implementation partners.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Lead requirement workshops with Planning, Manufacturing, and Logistics teams to define business needs and drive adherence to standard SAP processes</li><li>Manage testing cycles (SIT/UAT) and dry-run/cutover activities, coordinating issue resolution with IT and the implementation partner</li><li>Support productivity and cost-saving goals by validating process designs against SAP standard functionality</li><li>Build SCM capability through training and a super-user network to support user adoption</li><li>Track project milestones, risks, and issues, escalating to PMO/steering committee as needed</li><li>Act as the key liaison between SCM business teams and IT/external consultants throughout design, build, test, and go-live phases</li><li>Support post-go-live stabilization, prioritizing fixes and driving continuous process improvement</li></ul> Your Skills Required Qualifications:<ul><li>Fluent level Japanese (N1), business level English</li><li>at least 3 years of project management experience for enterprise level solution implementation project</li><li>Strong project management skills, including planning, risk/issue management, and budget or vendor oversight</li><li>Experience implementing or migrating to an ERP system (SAP S/4HANA must), in either greenfield or brownfield environments</li><li>Familiarity with standard ERP implementation methodology (Design-Build-Test-Dry Run-Go-Live)</li><li>Working knowledge of core SAP modules and related IT systems</li><li>Practical experience in SCM operations using SAP modules</li><li>Experience in business requirements definition and process design</li><li>Proven ability to lead cross-functional coordination and drive consensus among stakeholders</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Experience on global ERP implementation programs</li><li>Business transformation experience within FMCG or manufacturing industries</li><li>Familiarity with AI or data analytics applications</li></ul> Key Highlights of the Role <ul><li>Full-time, management-level position</li><li>Hybrid work arrangement with primary office presence expected</li><li>Comprehensive benefits package including retirement plan, social insurance, and family/health-related leave programs</li></ul> Location Tokyo Salary14 - 18 million yen Reference Number: 06940-0013508352 By clicking 'apply', you are deemed to have agreed to Robert Half Japan Privacy Notice (<a href="https://www.roberthalf.com/jp/en/privacy">https://www.roberthalf.com/jp/en/privacy</a>). The RoleYou will be a core member of the SAP S/4HANA Finance team, designing, implementing, improving and running SAP FI (Financial Accounting) and CO (Controlling) solutions. You will translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions and help drive finance transformation and digitalization across the company.
