<p><strong>Senior Legal Counsel</strong></p><p><strong>Construction firm</strong></p><p><strong>Based in either London or Leeds</strong></p><p><strong>Hybrid working (2 days in the office per week)</strong></p><p><strong>£100K base + 6K car allowance</strong></p><p> </p><p><strong>The role</strong></p><p> </p><ul><li>Providing commercially focused legal advice on a broad range of projects ensuring compliance with applicable law.</li><li>Reviewing, negotiating and/or drafting agreements and conducting contract negotiations with project counterparties primarily for construction, refurbishment and related services.</li><li>Supporting on commercial and contractual matters for tenders, projects, variations and on-going contractual and operational matters.</li><li>Assisting on the governance of transactions at local and group level.</li><li>Working closely with colleagues throughout the group and with customers.</li><li>Managing external legal resource as required</li><li>Assisting in developing and delivering training on legal matters for colleagues across the business.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>The requirements:</strong></p><p> </p><ul><li>UK qualified solicitor</li><li>Experience in both private practice and in-house roles preferred but not essential</li><li>Understanding of the contractual framework surrounding construction projects within the UK construction market including experience of negotiating and agreements based on industry standard forms in particular the JCT suite of contracts and NEC.</li></ul><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
