This is a high-impact leadership position, offering full ownership of the finance function and a seat at the table with the senior leadership team.</p><p>This is far more than a traditional financial control role. You'll be expected to challenge decisions, drive profitability, improve performance, and provide the commercial insight needed to support continued growth.</p><h3>The Role</h3><p>As Head of Finance, you will take responsibility for the overall financial leadership of the business, ensuring robust financial management whilst acting as a trusted adviser to operational and commercial teams.</p><p>You'll be at the heart of strategic decision-making, providing insight that drives business performance, improves margins, strengthens controls, and supports long-term growth ambitions.</p><p>Responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Leading and developing a high-performing finance team.</li><li>Owning all financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting and planning activities.</li><li>Delivering meaningful commercial insight to support business performance.</li><li>Driving financial discipline and accountability across the organisation.</li><li>Managing cash flow, working capital and liquidity performance.</li><li>Partnering with operational leaders to improve project and contract profitability.</li><li>Ensuring appropriate governance, risk management and regulatory compliance.</li><li>Leading audit processes and maintaining key external relationships.</li><li>Identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve systems and enhance reporting capability.</li><li>Supporting strategic initiatives, investment decisions and future growth plans.</li></ul><h3>About You</h3><p>We're seeking an ambitious and influential finance professional who enjoys operating in a fast-paced environment and isn't afraid to challenge the status quo.</p><p>You will ideally possess:</p><ul><li>ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.</li><li>A proven track record in a senior finance leadership role.</li><li>Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.</li><li>Experience within engineering, contracting, manufacturing, construction, infrastructure, utilities or other project-based sectors.</li><li>Excellent financial planning, analysis and cash management capabilities.</li><li>A hands-on leadership style with the ability to balance strategic thinking and operational delivery.</li><li>Experience leading teams through change, growth or transformation.</li><li>The confidence to operate as a key member of the senior leadership team.</li></ul><p> </p><h2> </h2><br><p> </p><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
