<p>Robert Half are delighted to be supporting a SME in the Somerset area on the recruitment of a Project Accountant to join the team on a full-time and permanent basis.</p><p>This role will report directly to the Financial Controller, and be responsible for managing contract variations, Work in Progress (WIP), and an order book as well as project level P&L oversight and commercial support to the wider business.</p><p>The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, a strong commercial awareness and a desire to develop a career in project accounting and commercial management.</p><p>Our client adopts a hybrid working model requiring you on site for 2 days per week, and the ability to work 3 days per week from home.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities of the Project Accountant will include: </strong></p><ul><li>Act as the main finance contact for Project Delivery teams, building strong stakeholder relationships.</li><li>Support with month-end by preparing revenue recognition and ensuring accurate project financials.</li><li>Reconcile project and financial accounting, maintaining internal controls.</li><li>Investigate and resolve financial variances with Project Managers.</li><li>Track project progress for accurate costing and invoicing.</li><li>Conduct cost to complete reviews and lead audits.</li><li>Manage project close-out and support transactional tasks.</li><li>Support ad-hoc finance needs and drive process improvements.</li></ul><p><strong>Your Profile: </strong></p><ul><li>Open to part or fully qualified (AAT, CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or qualified by experience.</li><li>Exceptional communication skills, able to manage relationships both internally and externally.</li><li>Attention to detail, and strong organisational skills.</li><li>Strong commercial awareness.</li></ul><p>In return, the successful candidate can expect a salary of between £50-55k plus benefits including 25 days holiday, pension, private medical and more.</p><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions. <p>Robert Half Technology are currently working with a leading organisation based in <strong>South Wales</strong> that is embarking on a major M<strong>icrosoft Dynamics 365 (D365) implementation</strong>.
