  • <p>Robert Half are pleased to be partnering with a <strong>rapidly growing</strong> organisation based in <strong>Wallingford </strong>to recruit a <strong>Transactional Accountant</strong>. The Transactional Accountant will receive a salary of up to <strong>£42,000</strong> along with other attractive benefits including <strong>mostly remote working</strong> - you will be required in the office <strong>2-3 times per month!</strong></p><p> </p><p><strong>Primary responsibilities; </strong></p><p> </p><ul><li>Match supplier invoices to purchase orders/goods received documentation and ensure they are appropriately authorised, and booked into accounting system</li><li>Resolve any discrepancies and deal with supplier queries</li><li>To ensure that customer invoicing, supplier invoices, expenses and other transactional type tasks are delivered to an acceptable standard and within allotted timescales </li><li>To ensure month end tasks are completed including handovers to management accountants and other analytical / control information such as run rates and deferred pivots </li><li>To ensure the support and other inboxes for all systems (GP, concur etc.) are adequately covered and the service to end users is efficient. This will include the monitoring of performance versus SLA's</li><li>Assist in projects for systems or process improvements as well as projects provided by the Divisional Finance Manager or your direct manager. </li><li>Contribute to the success of the overall corporate strategy</li><li>Process cash allocation where necessary.</li><li>Implement improvements to existing processes / systems as required</li><li>Involvement with integrations of new business units</li><li>Undertake ad hoc and other finance duties as required</li><li>Complete accurate and thorough handovers to the management accountants at month end</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Key experience and attributes; </strong></p><p> </p><ul><li>AAT qualification would be advantageous</li><li>Previous experience in transactional functions.</li><li>Commercial acumen and financial analysis skills </li><li>Excellent IT skills including a high level of proficiency in Excel </li><li>You will have strong interpersonal skills with both written and verbal communication skills at all levels, with a confident and professional telephone manner</li><li>A demonstrated ability to process large quantity of data quickly and effectively, to deliver results</li><li>You will have a strong work ethic and be highly organised and methodical</li><li>Solution-focused, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks</li><li>Persistent and resilient under pressure</li></ul><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
