This role blends advisory work, hands-on solution design, and the opportunity to influence the next generation of technical and AI-enabled offerings.RoleArchitecture and Solution Design<ul><li>The Solution Architect will translate business requirements into high-quality solution architectures and design specifications.</li><li>Develop logical and physical architecture diagrams, integration patterns, data flows, and component models.</li><li>Ensure all designs follow enterprise architecture principles, technology roadmaps, and security standards.</li><li>Evaluate build vs. buy options and lead technical assessments of software, platforms, and cloud services.</li><li>Support project mobilisation, helping teams establish tooling, cloud environments, engineering standards, and delivery patterns.</li></ul>Collaboration<ul><li>Contribute to product roadmaps, emphasising scalability, reusability, and alignment with long-term organisational strategy.</li><li>Support delivery teams to ensure architectural patterns are implemented consistently and efficiently.</li></ul>Technical Leadership<ul data-end="3007" data-start="2570"><li data-end="2210" data-start="2109" data-section-id="1jpnb81">Provide architectural guidance to delivery and IT Security teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.</li><li data-section-id="g55fop" data-end="2311" data-start="2211">Review technical designs, code, and configurations to ensure alignment with approved architecture.</li><li data-section-id="10kwica" data-start="2312" data-end="2383">Identify and mitigate technical risks early in the project lifecycle.</li><li data-end="2480" data-start="2384" data-section-id="1h1v034">Drive architectural governance, ensuring traceability, documentation accuracy, and compliance.</li><li data-section-id="y6tz08" data-start="2481" data-end="2543">Ensure solutions meet compliance standards (e.g. ISO 27001).</li></ul>AI & Data Awareness<ul data-start="3046" data-end="3166"><li data-section-id="a2yz5j" data-end="2730" data-start="2570">Ensure solution designs support AI/ML-enabled capabilities where relevant (e.g. data lineage, governance, feature management, and model integration patterns).</li><li data-section-id="2jxvwl" data-start="2731" data-end="2879">Collaborate with wider technical teams to define integration approaches for predictive analytics, generative AI services, or model-driven systems.</li><li data-section-id="19upzpk" data-end="3007" data-start="2880">Recognise and address architectural implications of model lifecycle management (versioning, replicability, and auditability).</li></ul>Client & Stakeholder Engagement<ul data-end="3166" data-start="3046"><li data-section-id="1q0ht3f" data-end="3166" data-start="3046">Support pre-sales activities by contributing architectural expertise to early discovery, proposals, and RFP responses.</li></ul>Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Proven experience designing solutions across application, data, integration, and infrastructure domains.</li><li>Strong understanding of cloud architectures (preferably Azure) and modern delivery practices (API-led, microservices, CI/CD, DevOps).</li><li>Expert-level knowledge of the Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) and supporting tools.</li><li>Ability to produce clear and structured documentation, including HLDs/LLDs, sequence diagrams, data flows, and security models.</li><li>Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills.</li><li>Experience with enterprise security principles, identity management, and governance frameworks.</li><li>Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on problem solving.</li></ul>Desirable<ul><li>Experience designing architectures involving Snowflake, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, or similar modern data platforms.</li><li>Relevant cloud certifications (e.g. Azure Solutions Architect Expert).</li><li>Experience working within regulated industries (finance or other data-sensitive environments).</li><li>Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman).</li><li>Background in software engineering, data architecture, or infrastructure engineering.</li><li>Exposure to designing internal accelerators, frameworks, or reusable components.</li><li>Awareness of AI/ML architecture patterns, generative AI integration considerations, or data lineage and monitoring concepts.</li></ul>Company<ul><li>Rapidly growing financial services organisation with offices in London</li><li>Hybrid working </li></ul>Salary & BenefitsThe salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
