Robert Half is partnering a Manchester based infrastructure service provider in the appointment of an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified Finance Manager. The business is seeing a proactive and highly capable Finance Manager to take ownership of management accounting, financial accounting, reporting, and company secretarial activities across a multi-entity/project environment. This role is ideally suited to a qualified accountant who thrives in a dynamic setting, can adapt to shifting priorities, and enjoys collaborating closely with a broad range of stakeholders. The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring robust financial control, insightful reporting, and strong commercial support.This role offers broad exposure across management and statutory accounts, commercial accounting, and company secretarial duties within a niche industry, providing experience beyond typical finance roles. Engagement with lenders, shareholders, suppliers, operations teams, and local authorities develops strong commercial and relationship management skills. A collaborative, supportive environment ensures continuous learning and guidance at all levels.Reporting into the Finance Director, key responsibilities will include: <ul data-start="2110" data-end="2803"><li data-start="79" data-end="610">Management Accounting<ul data-start="111" data-end="610"><li data-start="111" data-end="230">Incorporate purchase ledgers, sales ledgers, cash books, and loan schedules into ETBs and reconcile to SUN Systems.</li><li data-end="314" data-start="233">Maintain accruals, prepayments, amortisation schedules, and related workings.</li><li data-start="317" data-end="391">Prepare monthly management accounts and analyse actuals versus budget.</li><li data-start="394" data-end="454">Supervise VAT and CIS return preparation and submission.</li><li data-end="548" data-start="457">Oversee preparation of purchase invoices, non-supplier payments, and customer invoices.</li><li data-start="551" data-end="610">Supervise maintenance of cash books and loan schedules.</li></ul></li><li data-end="895" data-start="612">Financial Accounting<ul data-end="895" data-start="643"><li data-start="643" data-end="695">Prepare statutory accounts for the annual audit.</li><li data-start="698" data-end="774">Produce supporting documentation and working papers for year-end audits.</li><li data-end="827" data-start="777">Liaise with internal and external audit teams.</li><li data-start="830" data-end="895">Coordinate with tax advisors on corporation tax computations.</li></ul></li><li data-start="897" data-end="1179">Reporting<ul data-start="917" data-end="1179"><li data-end="997" data-start="917">Present finance reports to shareholders at quarterly project board meetings.</li><li data-start="1000" data-end="1091">Track and ensure compliance with project deliverables tied to loan facility agreements.</li><li data-start="1094" data-end="1179">Maintain financial and operating models; prepare budgets and cash flow forecasts.</li></ul></li><li data-start="1181" data-end="1344">Company Secretarial Duties<ul data-start="1218" data-end="1344"><li data-end="1261" data-start="1218">Take minutes at project board meetings.</li><li data-end="1344" data-start="1264">Prepare and submit Companies House filings and related formal documentation</li></ul></li></ul>Key requirements for the role:<ul data-start="2843" data-end="3439"><li data-end="2248" data-start="2110">ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant</li></ul><ul data-start="2843" data-end="3439"><li data-end="2248" data-start="2110">Multi-entity or multi-project experience and comfortable managing responsibilities across several entities or projects simultaneously.</li><li data-start="2249" data-end="2381">Flexibility under pressure and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities while delivering under tight or competing deadlines.</li><li data-start="2382" data-end="2504">A collaborative team player who demonstrates respect, supports colleagues, and contributes positively to team culture.</li><li data-end="2721" data-start="2596">Strong commercial awareness and understanding of client-facing responsibilities, adopting a commercially minded approach.</li><li data-end="2803" data-start="2722">Advanced Excel proficiency and adaptability to new financial systems and tools.</li></ul>Only candidates with the requisite skills & experience outlined clearly on CVs will be considered.
