- <p>Finance Director | Manchester | £90k-£110k + Bonus</p><p>Robert Half are exclusively partnering with a growing, privately owned Manchester-based business to appoint a commercially minded Finance Director.</p><p>This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious finance leader to take ownership of an established finance function and play a key role in shaping how finance supports the wider business.</p><p>The successful candidate will have a genuine opportunity to modernise and transform the finance function, driving improvements across processes, systems, reporting and management information, while helping create a more efficient and commercially focused finance operation.</p><p>Working closely with the Managing Director and wider Senior Leadership Team, you will also act as a key commercial sounding board, providing insight, challenge and financial direction to support profitability and future growth.</p><p>The role</p><ul><li><p>Lead and develop the finance function.</p></li><li><p>Own budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial planning.</p></li><li><p>Provide commercially focused insight to the SLT.</p></li><li><p>Identify and deliver opportunities to automate and improve finance processes.</p></li><li><p>Modernise management information and reporting.</p></li><li><p>Strengthen financial controls and governance.</p></li><li><p>Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, margins and profitability.</p></li><li><p>Review and develop the finance team and wider finance structure.</p></li><li><p>Support the continued development of financial systems and technology.</p></li><li><p>Take a hands-on approach to the role, getting into the detail when required and leading from the front.</p></li></ul><p>The person</p><p>We are looking for a forward-thinking, commercially minded Finance Director who enjoys improving businesses and making a tangible difference.</p><p>You will ideally have:</p><ul><li><p>Senior finance leadership experience within an SME or mid-market environment.</p></li><li><p>Strong commercial and strategic acumen.</p></li><li><p>A proven track record of process improvement and/or finance transformation.</p></li><li><p>Experience improving automation, systems or reporting.</p></li><li><p>Strong budgeting, forecasting and management information experience.</p></li><li><p>The confidence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>A hands-on approach with a genuine willingness to roll your sleeves up and get involved.</p></li><li><p>Ideally, you will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, although QBE candidates with the right experience will be considered.</p></li></ul><p>Experience within manufacturing, distribution, engineering, construction or another project-led environment would be advantageous but is not essential.</p><p>What's on offer?</p><ul><li><p>£90,000-£110,000 salary</p></li><li><p>Discretionary Bonus</p></li><li><p>Enhanced benefits package</p></li><li><p>Hybrid working, 3 days in the office</p></li><li><p>Genuine opportunity to shape and transform the finance function</p></li><li><p>Direct exposure to the SLT</p></li><li><p>A commercially influential position with significant autonomy</p></li><li><p>Opportunity to make a visible impact on the future direction of the business</p></li></ul><p>This is an excellent opportunity for a Finance Director who wants to be more than the head of finance and play a genuine role in shaping the future of a successful business.</p><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
