•
Financial Controller - Group Reporting & Treasury (Manchester, Hybrid)

We're working exclusively with a growing group business based in Manchester to appoint a Financial Controller - Group Reporting & Treasury. This is a newly-shaped senior role sitting close to the CFO, covering group management accounts, treasury and cash management across a multi-entity, international structure.

You'll take ownership of the monthly group management accounts process, including balance sheet control account reconciliations, overhead coding, intercompany reconciliations and variance analysis against budget and prior periods. You'll also present results directly to divisional MDs, so this suits someone who's comfortable explaining numbers to non-finance stakeholders as well as producing them.

Alongside the accounts side, there's a genuine treasury dimension: weekly and rolling 13-week cashflow forecasting, day-to-day cash movement decisions, payment approvals, and working capital reporting. You'll manage a treasury accountant and pick up their duties in their absence, so some comfort with (or appetite to learn) cash management is important.

There's also a foreign currency element, given the group's overseas subsidiaries, plus involvement in year-end statutory reporting and group consolidation alongside the Financial Controller.

What we're looking for:

Qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA)

Solid experience at Finance Manager level or above, ideally within a group structure with multiple entities or divisions

Comfortable with consolidation adjustments and intercompany eliminations

Some exposure to cash forecasting/treasury would be a strong plus, though not essential

Experience managing and developing a team

Strong Excel skills; exposure to SQL or Power BI would help but isn't a dealbreaker

This is a broad, hands-on senior role for someone who wants both the technical accounts discipline and the commercial visibility of working closely with the CFO and divisional leadership.

Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
