This is a pivotal role supporting the finance team during a period of strategic restructuring and financial transformation.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Financial Modelling:</strong><br /> * Develop, enhance, and stress-test robust financial models (3-statement and bespoke transaction models) to support debt structuring, sensitivity and covenant analysis.<br /> * Take existing forecasting P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow model and run detailed sensitivity analyses.<br /> * Overlay financial covenants analysis on the base case and sensitivity cases.</li><li><strong>Debt and Transaction Support:</strong><br /> * Analyse prospective lender term sheets and prepare comparator analyses and reviews using our base case and sensitivity forecasts.<br /> * Prepare Q&A responses for lenders and other key stakeholders.<br /> * Assist the CFO with tax analysis for the refinance, liaising with tax advisors.<br /> * Support the CFO with Balance Sheet progressions required at completion and reviewing facility agreements, preparing review memos.</li><li><strong>Strategic Presentations:</strong><br /> * Develop high-impact board and investor presentations that clearly articulate refinancing strategy, financial impacts and risks.<br /> * Lead on production and design of professional slide decks using Porthaven's brand guidelines.</li><li><strong>Governance & Controls:</strong><br /> * Support governance processes, oversight of policies and controls and maintain regulatory compliance.</li><li><strong>Stakeholder Engagement:</strong><br /> * Liaise with banks, legal advisors, tax advisors and internal teams, ensuring transparent and seamless information flow.</li><li><strong>BAU Support:</strong><br /> * Although this will be a 90% project role, support monthly board and investor reporting as required.</li><li><strong>Ad Hoc CFO Support:</strong><br /> * Provide hands-on support to the CFO on strategic financial matters and key project milestones.</li></ul><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Ideal Candidate Profile</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Qualifications:</strong> ACA qualified (Big 4 or Top 20 practice essential).</li><li><strong>Experience:</strong><br /> * 5-8 years post-qualification in corporate finance, transaction services, debt advisory, or a similar role.<br /> * Proven track record supporting refinancing, M&A or complex funding transactions.</li><li><strong>Skills:</strong><br /> * Expert financial modelling (3-statement, sensitivities, covenants).<br /> * Excellent MS Excel and PowerPoint skills with the ability to produce polished and compelling decks.<br /> * Strong governance mindset with exposure to regulated financial environments.</li><li><strong>Attributes:</strong><br /> * Commercially astute, detail-oriented and calm under pressure.<br /> * Curious, resourceful and proactive - able to hit the ground running.<br /> * Strong communication skills to manage executive-level relationships.</li></ul><p><strong>Why Join?</strong></p><p>This is a rare opportunity to work directly alongside a highly experienced CFO and CEO on a significant refinancing project that will shape the company's next phase of growth.
