<p>Robert Half is partnering with a high-growth, investment-led business in Birmingham to appoint a <strong>Financial Controller</strong>.</p><p>This is a newly created role following a period of sustained expansion and private investment, offering significant exposure to the senior leadership team and a clear route to Finance Director as the business continues its growth trajectory.</p><p>Working closely with the CFO, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, lead a small team, and help shape the financial strategy as the business scales - both organically and through acquisition.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee all aspects of financial reporting, controls, and month-end close.</li><li>Partner with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.</li><li>Lead, mentor and develop a small, high-performing finance team.</li><li>Implement process improvements and strengthen financial governance.</li><li>Support the integration of new acquisitions and drive reporting consistency across the group.</li><li>Prepare insightful financial analysis to support commercial decision-making.</li></ul><p><strong>About You:</strong></p><ul><li>ACA qualified, ideally trained in a Big 4 or top-tier accounting firm.</li><li>Looking for a<strong> </strong>first or second move from practice into an ambitious, high-growth business.</li><li>Strong technical grounding in financial reporting and controls, with the confidence to partner at board level.</li><li>Commercially minded, with the ability to balance day-to-day rigour with strategic input.</li><li>Proactive, curious, and driven - someone who wants to make an impact in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.</li></ul><p>This role offers a genuine opportunity to build a career in a dynamic, forward-thinking business backed by ambitious investors.</p><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
