<p>Robert Half have partnered on an exclsuive basis with a growing Pharmaceutical/MedTech organisation in the Greater Manchester area to recruit and IT Manager on a permanent basis.<br /><br />As the IT Manager, you will lead the planning, implementation, maintenance, and security of IT systems, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and external vendors to support secure, scalable, and compliant technology solutions across the organisation. Experience in regulated industries, particularly within healthcare, is highly desirable.<br /><br /><strong>Responsibilities:<br /></strong></p><ul><li>Lead the day-to-day operations of the IT team including the dedicated service desk, infrastructure maintenance and systems management.</li><li>Be responsible for meeting IT Service Desk SLA's and achieving KPI's</li><li>Develop policies and drive process improvement in line with standards such as ITIL and Cyber Essentials.</li><li>Ensure that company policies are implemented, review and maintain procedures and ensure necessary tracking information is captured.</li><li>Lead and manage the IT team Comprising of Senior IT Engineers and an IT Engineer, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure the team's success and alignment with organisational goals.</li><li>Engage with internal and external stakeholders</li><li>Manage and maintain IT budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships. Own, develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and services supplied to the business.</li><li>Contribute to and ensure first line security of the organisation IT systems and data through implementing cybersecurity measures.</li><li>Ensure network and system security, ensuring compliance with data protection laws (e.g., GDPR) and any other appropriate regulatory standards.</li><li>Lead IT projects, including Company acquisitions, software and hardware upgrades, migrations, and digital transformation initiatives.</li><li>Covering team absences which may require time filling other team roles, such as commissioning equipment, covering the help desk, technical research and implementation.</li><li>Provide technical support, training and communications to end-users as part of the wider change projects.</li><li>Monitor system performance and implement improvements as needed.</li></ul><p><strong>Experience/Skills required:</strong></p><ul><li>Proven experience in an IT Manager or similar leadership role, preferably within healthcare, life sciences, or medical communications.</li><li>Strong knowledge of cloud-based platforms (especially Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Azure).</li><li>Excellent understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and data protection regulations (e.g. GDPR, ISO 27001).</li><li>Experience supporting hybrid/remote teams using collaboration tools such as Teams, Zoom, and project management systems.</li></ul><p><strong>Salary/logistics:</strong></p><ul><li>£60,000-£70,000 + additional benefits</li><li>Hybrid working - 2/3 days a week on site as standard.</li></ul><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions. The successful candidate will take responsibility for all core finance functions from accounting and reporting through to budgeting, forecasting, and commercial financial support, ensuring financial stability, compliance, and providing insightful analysis that helps guide strategic and operational decision-making across the group.</p><p data-start="213" data-end="688">Reporting into the Managing Director with a line into the Group Financial Controller, duties are as follows:</p><ul data-end="2211" data-start="717"><li data-start="717" data-end="919">Lead the full finance function, including day-to-day accounting, management of ledgers, bank reconciliations, creditor/debtor control, and cash-flow management. </li><li data-end="1110" data-start="920"><p data-start="922" data-end="1110">Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts, balance sheets, profit & loss statements, cashflow reports, and other financial statements</p></li><li data-end="1335" data-start="1111"><p data-start="1113" data-end="1335">Develop, maintain and monitor budgets and forecasts (short-term and long-term), including variance analysis and scenario modelling to support business planning and growth strategies. </p></li><li data-start="1336" data-end="1549"><p data-start="1338" data-end="1549">Provide financial insight and analysis to senior management and group leadership to support commercial decisions, investments, cost control and profitability optimisation.</p></li><li data-end="1712" data-start="1550"><p data-start="1552" data-end="1712">Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, statutory reporting requirements, tax, VAT and other obligations. </p></li><li data-end="1951" data-start="1713"><p data-start="1715" data-end="1951">Manage and lead a team of 3 finance staff; act as a key point of contact within the group for finance interactions and consolidate group-level financial information where required.</p></li><li data-start="1952" data-end="2211"><p data-start="1954" data-end="2211">Drive improvement and standardisation of finance processes and systems (e.g. accounting software, process automation, internal control frameworks) to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and scalability as the business grows. </p></li></ul><p data-start="2213" data-end="2241"><strong data-end="2239" data-start="2213">Candidate Requirements</strong></p><ul data-end="3437" data-start="2242"><li data-end="2386" data-start="2242"><p data-start="2244" data-end="2386">Fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent recognised qualification/experience.</p></li><li data-end="2386" data-start="2242"><p data-end="2386" data-start="2244">Post-qualification experience in a Finance Manager (or senior finance) role, ideally within an SME or group-structured business.</p></li><li data-end="2759" data-start="2581"><p data-end="2759" data-start="2583">Strong technical accounting skills, including experience with UK accounting standards, month-end and year-end close, financial statement preparation, and financial reporting.</p></li><li data-end="2962" data-start="2760"><p data-start="2762" data-end="2962">Proven ability in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and analysis;
