<p>Robert Half has partnered with a growing organisation to recruit an Assistant Financial Accountant based in Liverpool.</p><p>This role is well suited to someone developing their finance career and looking to gain strong technical experience across month‑end, reconciliations and core accounting processes within a structured shared service environment.</p><p>The salary for this role is £30,000 - £40,000, hybrid working and 25 days annual leave.</p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>The Assistant Financial Accountant will support the delivery of accurate financial records and smooth month‑end close. Key responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Posting journals into the general ledger and sub‑ledgers</li><li>Preparing accruals and supporting month‑end processes</li><li>Completing reconciliations for fixed assets, prepayments, intercompany and deferred income</li><li>Carrying out bank and balance sheet reconciliations</li><li>Assisting with accounts receivable and accounts payable close activities</li><li>Supporting VAT and CIS reporting</li><li>Maintaining financial controls and ensuring compliance with internal processes</li><li>Resolving queries and addressing issues promptly</li><li>Working collaboratively with colleagues across the shared service centre</li></ul><p><strong>About You</strong></p><ul><li>Confident working with journals, reconciliations, accruals and other core accounting tasks</li><li>Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills</li><li>Highly organised with excellent attention to detail</li><li>Able to work independently and within a team</li><li>Clear communicator who can build strong working relationships</li><li>Motivated, proactive and keen to develop</li><li>Comfortable being on‑site in four days per week</li></ul><p> </p><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
