Interim Tax Accountant Central Birmingham (Hybrid - 2 days onsite) 6 Month Contract | Up to £450 per day (Inside IR35) | Immediate StartWe are supporting a large, complex organisation in Central Birmingham to appoint an Interim Tax Accountant on a 6-month contract.This role sits within a well-structured finance function and will take ownership of UK corporate tax compliance and reporting, alongside broader exposure to financial reporting and month-end processes.This is a strong opportunity for a technically capable, qualified accountant with hands-on UK tax experience who is available to start at short notice.<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>Tax Compliance & Reporting<ul><li>Prepare and submit UK corporation tax returns</li><li>Manage quarterly corporation tax payments on account</li><li>Prepare quarterly VAT and monthly CIS returns</li><li>Calculate and post current and deferred tax</li><li>Support tax disclosures within statutory accounts</li><li>Maintain and enhance tax controls, processes and governance frameworks</li><li>Act as a key contact for internal and external auditors</li><li>Support IFRS tax reporting requirements</li></ul>Financial Reporting & Control<ul><li>Support monthly management accounts close</li><li>Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations</li><li>Deliver variance analysis against budget and forecast</li><li>Assist with budgeting and forecasting cycles</li><li>Support statutory reporting and audit processes</li><li>Partner with wider finance teams to improve reporting and controls</li></ul><h3>Key Requirements</h3><ul><li>Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)</li><li>Strong UK Corporation Tax experience (essential)</li><li>Experience preparing VAT returns</li><li>Good understanding of IFRS reporting</li><li>Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>6 month contract</li><li>Up to £450 per day (Inside IR35)</li><li>Hybrid working (2 days on site in Central Birmingham)</li><li>Immediate start required</li></ul> Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
