<p>Group Financial Controller | Hybrid (2 days office / 3 days home) | £90k-£100k | Permanent | Lancashire | Must be able to start immediately / short notice </p><p>A growing, PE-backed UK business is looking to appoint a Group Financial Controller as part of its continued growth and development.</p><p>This is a senior, hands-on finance role with responsibility for Group financial control, reporting and governance across a multi-entity organisation. <p> </p><p>We're partnering a fast-growing, Lancashire-based, private equity-backed technology business is looking to appoint an experienced Group Financial Controller to join its senior finance team.</p><p>The business operates internationally across the UK and Europe and is going through an exciting period of growth, driven by organic expansion, technology investment and acquisition. </p><p>This is a senior, hands-on Group FC role, reporting directly to the Group CFO and offering genuine scope to influence how the finance function develops as the business continues to scale.</p><h2>The role</h2><p>You will take ownership of the Group's financial reporting, consolidation, controls and accounting operations across 12 legal entities in the UK and Europe.</p><p>Alongside ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the Group's financial reporting, you will work closely with the CFO, senior leadership team, private equity investors, auditors, tax advisers and banking partners.</p><p>The role will suit someone who enjoys operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and who can bring structure, rigour and commercial thinking without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.</p><p>Key responsibilities will include:</p><ul><li><p>Leading the monthly Group consolidation and financial reporting process across 12 entities</p></li><li><p>Preparing consolidated financial statements in accordance with FRS 102</p></li><li><p>Overseeing the year-end statutory accounts process and managing external audit relationships</p></li><li><p>Ensuring balance sheet integrity, including key reconciliations and intercompany accounting</p></li><li><p>Leading the month-end close process and ensuring appropriate Group adjustments and eliminations</p></li><li><p>Managing Group tax compliance, working with external advisers and local finance teams across multiple jurisdictions</p></li><li><p>Preparing quarterly covenant and investor reporting</p></li><li><p>Managing Group cash flow and treasury, including the weekly 13-week cash flow forecast</p></li><li><p>Supporting banking requirements and facility utilisation</p></li><li><p>Providing technical accounting advice across the Group, including accounting for hedging and financial derivatives</p></li><li><p>Supporting acquisitions, due diligence and post-acquisition integration</p></li><li><p>Working with the CFO and PE investors on Group reporting and wider finance matters</p></li><li><p>Strengthening financial controls, governance and processes as the business scales</p></li><li><p>Identifying opportunities to improve automation, systems and reporting</p></li><li><p>Working with finance teams across the Group to improve consistency and financial discipline</p></li><li><p>Supporting wider finance projects and system implementations</p></li></ul><h2>What we're looking for</h2><p>We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with a practice background and strong technical accounting and Group reporting experience. </p><p>You will have:</p><ul><li><p>Post-qualified experience within a PE backed Group finance environment</p></li><li><p>Strong consolidation and statutory reporting experience</p></li><li><p>Experience working across multiple entities and/or international operations</p></li><li><p>A strong technical accounting grounding</p></li><li><p>Experience dealing with auditors, advisers, banks and senior stakeholders</p></li><li><p>Exposure to private equity, high-growth or acquisitive businesses would be highly advantageous</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels</p></li></ul><p>Most importantly, you will be hands-on, pragmatic and commercially minded.
