  • <p style="text-align: justify;">Robert Half are working in partnership with a private equity backed business based near to Cheltenham to recruit a Group Financial Controller on a permanent basis. This role will report to the CFO and take ownership of the day-to-day finance function whilst focusing on technical accounting and financial control areas.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">This is a great opportunity to work in a fast paced and progressive business that is looking to process improve and drive the finance function forward whilst managing a high volume and demanding cash flow environment.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">The Group Financial Controller position will be paying in the region of £85,000 to £95,000 per annum, 10% bonus with hybrid working (1-2 days from home) and a great prospect for future development.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"> </p><p style="text-align: justify;">If you have worked in a fast paced, PE environment and come from a technical/controls background then this would be a great role to step into!</p><p style="text-align: justify;"> </p><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Key responsibilities include</strong></p><ul style="text-align: justify;"><li>Oversight of month end close process (P&amp;L, Balance Sheet, cash flow)</li><li>Lead the year end close process ensuring robust controls and timely reporting alongside being key liaison with the auditors</li><li>Own and drive continuous improvement within the finance function, including opportunities for automation and AI, ERP optimisation and enhancements</li><li>Ensure robust balance sheet control, reconciliations and review process</li><li>Lead the annual budgeting process and maintenance of rolling forecasts</li><li>Cash flow forecasting and the monitoring of liquidity</li><li>Ensure effective management of debtors and creditors</li></ul><p style="text-align: justify;"> </p><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>About your experience</strong></p><ul><li style="text-align: justify;">Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), this role would suit a candidate trained through practice but all prior experience considered</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Experience within a Private Equity backed business</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Prior leadership experience across a business as usual function, strong direct management and ability to coach/develop</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Previous experience within a tight cash flow control environment</li></ul><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
