The business is experiencing significant growth and requires a commercially minded finance leader to oversee and enhance its transactional finance function.</p><p>Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the end-to-end finance operations function, leading a team across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, billing, banking and cash management, while driving process improvements, automation and operational excellence.</p><p>This role would suit a qualified finance professional who enjoys improving processes, leveraging technology and building scalable finance operations within a growing business.</p><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><h3>Finance Operations</h3><ul><li>Lead the day-to-day transactional finance function, overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, billing and banking activities.</li><li>Ensure accurate and timely invoicing across multiple entities and locations.</li><li>Oversee cash allocation, bank reconciliations and cash management processes.</li><li>Manage supplier payment runs and working capital processes.</li><li>Drive strong credit control and cash collection activities.</li><li>Support month-end close by ensuring reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.</li><li>Maintain robust financial controls and balance sheet integrity across operational finance.</li></ul><h3>Process Improvement &amp; Automation</h3><p>A key part of the role will be identifying opportunities to improve, simplify and automate finance processes.</p><p>You will:</p><ul><li>Review existing workflows and identify efficiencies across AP, AR and banking.</li><li>Reduce manual processes through automation and better use of systems.</li><li>Lead finance systems enhancements and process optimisation initiatives.</li><li>Partner with internal stakeholders to improve operational effectiveness.</li><li>Support finance transformation projects and technology implementations.</li><li>Develop KPI reporting to monitor team performance and process efficiency.</li></ul><h3>Team Leadership</h3><ul><li>Lead, mentor and develop a transactional finance team.</li><li>Create a culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement and high-quality service.</li><li>Ensure workloads are effectively managed and prioritised.</li><li>Develop team capability through coaching, training and performance management.</li><li>Improve resilience through documentation, process standardisation and cross-training.</li></ul><h3>Controls &amp;
