This is a fully remote UK-based contract role, lasting 4 months, paying <strong data-end="568" data-start="538">£400 per day (Inside IR35)</strong>.</p><p data-start="573" data-end="832">The successful candidate will be responsible for managing direct and indirect tax compliance activities across a wide portfolio of EMEA entities, ensuring statutory obligations are met while supporting broader corporate tax reporting and audit requirements.</p><p data-start="834" data-end="860"><strong data-start="834" data-end="858">Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul data-start="861" data-end="1452"><li data-end="1015" data-start="861"><p data-start="863" data-end="1015">Lead preparation and review of direct and indirect tax (VAT) returns for EMEA entities, working with internal finance teams and external tax advisors.</p></li><li data-end="1131" data-start="1016"><p data-start="1018" data-end="1131">Oversee approval and execution of all EMEA tax payments in line with statutory deadlines and internal controls.</p></li><li data-start="1132" data-end="1238"><p data-start="1134" data-end="1238">Support international tax reporting, including preparation of Provision to Return (PTR) documentation.</p></li><li data-start="1239" data-end="1362"><p data-end="1362" data-start="1241">Act as the primary contact for auditors on tax matters, ensuring timely completion of audits and reporting obligations.</p></li><li data-end="1452" data-start="1363"><p data-start="1365" data-end="1452">Provide ad hoc tax compliance support and contribute to special projects as required.</p></li></ul><p data-end="1487" data-start="1454"><strong data-start="1454" data-end="1485">Qualifications & Experience</strong></p><ul data-end="2082" data-start="1488"><li data-end="1592" data-start="1488"><p data-end="1592" data-start="1490">Recognised professional qualification in tax and/or accounting (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent).</p></li><li data-end="1699" data-start="1593"><p data-start="1595" data-end="1699">Significant experience managing direct and indirect tax compliance within a multinational environment.</p></li><li data-end="1783" data-start="1700"><p data-start="1702" data-end="1783">Strong knowledge of VAT and corporate tax compliance across EMEA jurisdictions.</p></li><li data-start="1784" data-end="1884"><p data-end="1884" data-start="1786">Proven ability to work effectively with external advisors, auditors, and cross-functional teams.</p></li><li data-end="1985" data-start="1885"><p data-start="1887" data-end="1985">Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.</p></li><li data-end="2082" data-start="1986"><p data-end="2082" data-start="1988">Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with tax reporting/compliance systems preferred.</p></li></ul><p data-end="2111" data-start="2084"><strong data-end="2109" data-start="2084">Personal Competencies</strong></p><ul data-end="2389" data-start="2112"><li data-start="2112" data-end="2182"><p data-start="2114" data-end="2182">High level of professional integrity and commitment to compliance.</p></li><li data-start="2183" data-end="2242"><p data-end="2242" data-start="2185">Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.</p></li><li data-end="2331" data-start="2243"><p data-end="2331" data-start="2245">Proactive, adaptable, and resilient, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.</p></li><li data-end="2389" data-start="2332"><p data-start="2334" data-end="2389">Results-driven with a continuous improvement mindset.</p></li></ul><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
