The role is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract with competitive compensation and hybrid working flexibility.</p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Prepare and analyse regulatory submissions for external stakeholders (e.g., FCA, ONS, auditors, Companies House, HMRC)</li><li>Ensure full compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal accounting frameworks, including IFRS 9, IFRS 7, and IFRS 16</li><li>Post monthly journals and analyse financial statement movements with clear, insightful commentary</li><li>Manage internal reporting and consolidation tools, ensuring reconciliations to the general ledger</li><li>Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances</li><li>Drive continuous improvement of financial systems, identifying and implementing automation opportunities</li><li>Work cross-functionally to support financial queries and offer strategic, data-driven insights</li><li>Identify and implement process enhancements within month-end and other finance-related activities</li><li>Analyse and interpret large datasets, ensuring data integrity and providing actionable reporting</li><li>Support system upgrades and improvements, collaborating closely with internal delivery teams and subject matter experts</li></ul><p>Essential Skills &amp; Experience:</p><ul><li>Strong, hands-on knowledge of IFRS 16 (Lease Accounting)</li><li>Expertise in accounting for financial instruments under IFRS 9 and IFRS 7, including disclosure requirements</li><li>Proven experience preparing financial statements and managing external audits</li><li>Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)</li><li>Prior experience in financial services, leasing, or funding industries is highly desirable</li><li>Confident working with multiple financial systems and interfaces; ability to troubleshoot and reconcile complex data flows</li><li>Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong overall IT proficiency</li><li>Demonstrated experience leading or contributing to change initiatives, especially relating to finance transformation, automation, or system enhancements</li></ul><p> </p><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
