Interim Tax Accountant (Corporation Tax)6 Month Contract - £400 per day Central Birmingham (Hybrid 2 days onsite) We are currently seeking an immediately available Interim Tax Accountant to join a finance team in a complex organisation on a 6 month contract.This role will focus primarily on UK corporate tax compliance and reporting, with exposure to financial reporting and management accounting within a well structured finance function.This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified financial accountant with strong UK tax experience who is available to start immediately. Key Responsibilities:Tax Compliance & Reporting:<ul><li>Prepare and submit UK corporation tax returns</li><li>Manage quarterly corporation tax payments on account</li><li>Prepare quarterly VAT returns and monthly CIS returns</li><li>Calculate and post current and deferred tax</li><li>Support tax disclosures within statutory accounts</li><li>Maintain tax controls, processes and governance documentation</li><li>Support Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) compliance</li><li>Assist with capital allowances, transfer pricing documentation and CIR calculations</li><li>Act as a key contact for internal and external auditors</li><li>Support IFRS tax reporting requirements</li></ul> Financial Reporting:<ul><li>Support the monthly management accounts close</li><li>Prepare balance sheet reconciliations</li><li>Deliver variance analysis vs budget and forecast</li><li>Assist with budgeting and forecasting</li><li>Support statutory reporting and audit processes</li><li>Work with stakeholders across finance to improve reporting and controls</li></ul> Essential Requirements:<ul><li>Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)</li><li>Strong UK Corporation Tax experience</li><li>Experience preparing VAT returns</li><li>Knowledge of IFRS reporting</li><li>Strong Excel and ERP system experience</li><li>Experience with tax software (e.g. OneSource) preferred</li><li>Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills</li></ul> Additional Information:<ul><li>6 month contract</li><li>Up to £400 per day (Inside IR35)</li><li>Hybrid working (2 days onsite in Central Birmingham)</li><li>Immediate start required</li></ul> If you are a experienced Tax Accountant and available immediately, we want to hear from you!
