This is a fantastic opportunity to make your mark in a growing practice while shaping the future of our accounting team.</p><p> </p><p>What You'll Do:</p><ul><li><strong>Accounting Process:</strong> Oversee the full accounting cycle for SME clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of corporation accounts.</li><li><strong>Bookkeeping:</strong> Supervise bookkeeping tasks, including general ledgers, financial transaction recording, and reconciliations.</li><li><strong>UK Corporation Accounts:</strong> Review and sign off corporation accounts in compliance with UK standards and regulations.</li><li><strong>Team Leadership:</strong> Supervise and mentor junior staff, fostering their development and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in service delivery.</li><li><strong>Compliance:</strong> Stay ahead of changes in UK accounting standards, ensuring full compliance and advising clients appropriately.</li><li><strong>Process Improvement:</strong> Identify and implement improvements in accounting practices to boost efficiency and accuracy.</li><li><strong>Client Relationships:</strong> Maintain and strengthen trusted partnerships with clients, offering proactive support and solutions.</li></ul><p> </p><p>About You:</p><ul><li>ACCA (or equivalent) qualified.</li><li>Client facing experience (essential)</li><li>Minimum 8+ years of current experience with a UK accountancy firm.</li><li>Proven ability to mentor and develop junior staff in general accounting practices.</li><li>Skilled in planning and delivering accounting projects successfully.</li><li>Confident in preparing, reviewing, and signing off:</li></ul><p> </p><p>-Bookkeeping across multiple systems (Sage50, QuickBooks, Xero).</p><p>-VAT returns &amp; bank reconciliations.</p><p>-Trial balances.</p><p>-Corporate accounts &amp; CT600s.</p><p>-Payroll &amp; CIS filings.</p><p>-Management accounts.</p><p>-Due diligence checks when client queries arise.</p><p> </p><p>Interested to find out more?</p><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
