Led by Managing Director Judy Matthews, Rock MS supports a portfolio of clients, most notably Reeds Solicitors, a top-tier UK law firm with 300 staff across 22 offices, and has also developed its own Case and Practice Management solution, Bedrock.</p><p>Rock MS's marketing services span website development, social media strategy, SEO, and legal directory submissions such as Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners, helping clients strengthen their online presence and convert enquiries into clients.</p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>We are looking for an ambitious, commercially minded Marketing Manager with strong technical knowledge of websites, SEO and digital marketing. This is a hands-on role for someone who can develop and execute marketing strategy while also understanding what happens under the bonnet of a website - comfortable working with developers, agencies and senior stakeholders, but equally happy in Google Search Console, GA4, CMS platforms and technical SEO audits.</p><p>It's a genuinely unique position: you'll lead marketing not just for Rock MS itself, but for a portfolio of its clients, predominantly within the legal sector, including Reeds Solicitors - wearing multiple hats across different brands, campaigns and priorities, which could suit someone with an agency background. Someone who enjoys understanding how data gets from source systems into Finance, isn't afraid to get into the detail, and is interested in finding better ways of doing things.</p><p class="isSelectedEnd">This is a role for someone who wants to be part of the future development of finance, rather than simply maintaining existing processes.</p><h3>What will you be doing?</h3><ul data-spread="false"><li>Preparing and delivering monthly management accounts, reconciliations, journals and financial reporting across the Group and its subsidiaries.</li><li>Getting underneath existing month-end processes, understanding how they work and identifying where they can be rebuilt or improved.</li><li>Working with source systems and large datasets to investigate data quality, discrepancies and reporting issues.</li><li>Using Excel, VBA/macros, SQL, Power BI, AI or other technology to improve processes, automate repetitive work and make financial information more reliable.</li><li>Developing meaningful KPIs, variance analysis and management information to support decision-making.</li><li>Working with colleagues across Finance and the wider business to improve the flow and quality of information into Finance.</li><li>Contributing to the development and upskilling of the wider Finance team.</li><li>Supporting senior Finance stakeholders with wider projects and continuous improvement initiatives.</li></ul><h3>What are we looking for?</h3><p class="isSelectedEnd">We're looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a solid grounding in management accounting and financial reporting.</p><p class="isSelectedEnd">Financial Services, banking, fintech, insurance or another regulated environment would be highly relevant, but we're also interested in accountants from other sectors who can demonstrate the right technical mindset.</p><p class="isSelectedEnd">More important than having a long list of technical qualifications is being someone who:</p><ul data-spread="false"><li>Is genuinely interested in systems, data and technology.</li><li>Enjoys working with large datasets and complex reconciliations.</li><li>Isn't afraid to get into the detail and understand where the numbers come from.</li><li>Looks at a process and thinks "there must be a better way of doing this."</li><li>Has an appetite to use AI, automation, VBA/macros, SQL, Power BI or similar tools to improve Finance.</li><li>Can combine technical curiosity with strong accounting fundamentals.</li><li>Is confident working with stakeholders and challenging established processes constructively.</li></ul><h3>Why is this role different?</h3><p class="isSelectedEnd">The business is looking for a finance recruit for the future.</p><p class="isSelectedEnd">You won't simply be expected to produce the numbers and move on.
