- <p></p><h2>Financial Accountant</h2><p><strong>12-Month Fixed Term Contract | Hybrid Working | 40 Hours Per Week</strong></p><p><strong>Robert Half</strong> are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing organisation to recruit a <strong>Financial Accountant</strong> on a 12-month fixed-term contract.</p><p>This is an excellent opportunity for a <strong>part-qualified, finalist or newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)</strong> looking to develop their technical accounting expertise within a supportive and collaborative finance team.</p><p>Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, supporting audit processes and driving continuous improvement across the finance function.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Manage the fixed asset register, including capitalisation, depreciation and disposals.</li><li>Prepare and post month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments and lease accounting.</li><li>Produce weekly cash flow reporting and analysis.</li><li>Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.</li><li>Reconcile intercompany balances and support group reporting requirements.</li><li>Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.</li><li>Prepare VAT returns and Corporation Tax workings.</li><li>Support statutory accounts preparation and year-end activities.</li><li>Assist with internal and external audit requirements.</li><li>Ensure compliance with accounting standards, controls and internal policies.</li><li>Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insight and support.</li><li>Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.</li><li>Support finance transformation and system improvement initiatives.</li></ul><h3>About You</h3><p>To be successful in this role, you will have:</p><ul><li>Part-qualified, finalist or qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA status.</li><li>Experience within a financial accounting, audit or broader finance role.</li><li>A strong understanding of financial accounting principles.</li><li>Excellent reconciliation and analytical skills.</li><li>Strong Excel capabilities and experience with finance systems.</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.</li><li>A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.</li></ul><h3>What's on Offer?</h3><ul><li>Hybrid working arrangement.</li><li>Exposure to a broad range of technical accounting responsibilities.</li><li>Opportunity to develop statutory reporting, audit and compliance experience.</li><li>Collaborative and supportive team environment.</li><li>Excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or part-qualified accountant looking to advance their career.</li></ul><p><strong>Please note: Sponsorship is not available for this position.</strong></p><p>If you're looking for a varied Financial Accountant role with exposure to both technical accounting and business-facing responsibilities, we'd love to hear from you.</p><br><p>Please reach out for a confidential discussion </p><p> </p><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
