This role sits at the heart of our commercial function and will lead a high-impact project focused on <strong>optimising food pricing</strong>, enhancing margin performance, and building long-term pricing capability.</p><p>You will act as the bridge between <strong>Finance, Commercial, Category, and Operations</strong>, shaping pricing strategy, strengthening analytical frameworks, and delivering a robust execution road map that enables sustainable growth in a complex, fast-moving food environment.</p><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li>Lead the end-to-end <strong>food pricing transformation project</strong>, from diagnostic to design, implementation, and embedding.</li><li>Own commercial pricing analysis, including elasticity, competitor benchmarking, promotional effectiveness, and customer behaviour insights.</li><li>Develop actionable pricing models, tools, and decision frameworks that improve margin delivery and enhance commercial agility.</li><li>Partner with Commercial and Category teams to translate insights into <strong>practical price recommendations</strong> and customer value propositions.</li><li>Create robust governance frameworks for price-setting, price changes, and promotional activity.</li><li>Work closely with Finance to ensure pricing strategy aligns with P&amp;L targets, forecasting, and financial risk management.</li><li>Lead workshops and steerco updates, providing senior stakeholders with clarity on progress, timelines, and expected financial impact.</li><li>Upskill internal teams, embedding stronger pricing discipline and commercial capability across the organisation.</li></ul><h3><strong>What We're Looking For</strong></h3><ul><li>A seasoned <strong>commercial finance or pricing leader</strong>, ideally with experience in the <strong>food, FMCG, retail, or hospitality</strong> sectors.</li><li>Proven track record of leading <strong>pricing transformation projects</strong> or major commercial change programmes.</li><li>Strong financial modelling capability and ability to translate complex data into clear commercial actions.</li><li>Experience working with large product portfolios, cost volatility, and high-volume pricing environments.</li><li>Excellent stakeholder management-credible, influencing, and able to challenge constructively.</li><li>An interim mindset: able to hit the ground running, operate autonomously, and deliver at pace.</li></ul><br><p> </p><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
