<p><strong>Robert Half has partnered with a professional services business to recruit for a Credit Controller.</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>Our client is looking for an experienced Credit Controller to take ownership of a varied debtor portfolio and play a key role in improving cashflow performance. This position sits within a collaborative finance function and offers the chance to build relationships across the business while driving consistent credit control standards.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Manage your own portfolio of debt, including regular discussions and review meetings with internal stakeholders.</li><li>Resolve queries efficiently, escalating issues when required.</li><li>Apply credit control and debt provisioning policies consistently across all accounts.</li><li>Maintain an accurate debtor ledger, ensuring minimal adjustments and prompt management of unallocated cash.</li><li>Proactively pursue overdue balances and keep senior managers updated on progress.</li><li>Log all client interactions and updates clearly within internal systems</li><li>Produce routine reports on aged debt and portfolio performance.</li><li>Flag accounts requiring escalation, including those that may need to follow a legal recovery route.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Skills & Experience Required</strong></p><ul><li>Experience within a professional services or similar stakeholder‑focused environment.</li><li>Solid Excel capability.</li><li>Confident communicator, able to engage with senior stakeholders and explain financial information clearly.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, motivate and handle sensitive conversations professionally.</li><li>Proactive approach to problem‑solving and service delivery.</li><li>Comfortable managing personal workload while working closely with the wider team.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>What's on Offer</strong></p><ul><li>Flexible and agile working options.</li><li>Supportive, people‑focused culture.</li><li>Opportunities to take ownership of processes and contribute to continuous improvement.</li><li>Clear development pathways and career progression support.</li><li>Salary: £30,000 - £31,000</li><li>Hybrid working</li></ul><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
