Robert Half is partnering with a large, multinational organisation based in Manchester in sought of an Interim Financial Accountant. This is a key role within a centralised Global Financial Services function, supporting revenue accounting, month end close, controls and process improvement across a complex international business.<h3>The Role</h3>You'll play a critical role in supporting centralised revenue recognition activities, working closely with local finance teams and stakeholders across the wider organisation.Key responsibilities will include:<ul data-spread="false"><li>Supporting month-end close, including journals, revenue schedules and reconciliations.</li><li>Working across revenue accounting processes.</li><li>Supporting the transition of finance processes into a centralised function through documentation and knowledge sharing.</li><li>Reviewing and improving existing processes, identifying opportunities for automation, simplification and efficiency.</li><li>Working with finance teams and wider stakeholders to resolve accounting queries and issues.</li><li>Ensuring compliance with finance policies, statutory requirements, SLAs and SOX controls.</li><li>Producing and distributing accurate financial reports within agreed deadlines.</li><li>What We're Looking For</li></ul>We're particularly interested in candidates who have:<ul data-spread="false"><li>ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified. </li><li>Ideally trained or worked within top 10 accountancy firms or alternatively a strong Top 20 practice.</li><li>Experience within a large multinational / complex corporate environment</li><li>Strong Revenue Accounting or RTR experience with sufficient depth to confidently explain accounting treatments, triggers and controls. </li><li>Experience of shared services, global business services or centralised finance functions is highly desirable.</li><li>Experience of working with SOX controls and compliance.</li><li>A track record of identifying and implementing process improvements. </li><li>Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.</li><li>The ability to operate effectively in a fast paced, changing environment. </li></ul><h3>Ideal Background</h3>This role would suit a qualified accountant who has worked within a sizeable international organisation and can demonstrate hands on experience across revenue accounting, month-end close and financial controls.📍 Manchester - Hybrid 📅 Interim Contract. 3 - 6 months. 💼 Qualified Accountant - ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CPARobert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
