Robert Half are working with a leading financial services organisation that is looking for an experienced Deployment Engineer to join their technology team on an initial 3-month contract.This is a highly hands-on role, requiring someone comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and engaging directly with end users and internal IT teams.Key Responsibilities:<ul data-spread="false"><li>Deploy and configure desktops, laptops and other IT hardware across the organisation.</li><li>Support the rollout and upgrade of end-user devices, including hardware refresh programmes.</li><li>Build, configure and deploy devices using Microsoft Intune, Autopilot and SCCM/MECM.</li><li>Install and configure software applications and ensure devices meet required security and configuration standards.</li><li>Manage device preparation, imaging, asset tagging and deployment documentation.</li><li>Provide hands-on technical support during deployment activities and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.</li><li>Work closely with Service Desk, Infrastructure and wider IT teams to coordinate deployments.</li><li>Maintain accurate asset and deployment records.</li><li>Support user migrations, device replacements and technology upgrades.</li><li>Follow established IT security, change management and deployment procedures.</li><li>Ensure deployments are completed within agreed timescales and with minimal disruption to users.</li><li>Provide clear communication to users and stakeholders throughout deployment activities.</li></ul>Experience Required:<ul data-spread="false"><li>Previous experience working as a Deployment Engineer, EUC Engineer, Desktop Engineer or IT Support Engineer.</li><li>Strong hands-on experience deploying and configuring Windows 10/11 devices.</li><li>Experience with Microsoft Intune and Autopilot.</li><li>Experience with SCCM/MECM and software deployment.</li><li>Strong understanding of desktop hardware, peripherals and troubleshooting.</li><li>Experience supporting large-scale device refreshes or technology deployment projects.</li><li>Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and Azure AD/Entra ID.</li><li>Good understanding of IT asset management and deployment processes.</li><li>Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Excellent communication and customer service skills.</li><li>Comfortable working 5 days per week on-site in London.</li><li>Previous experience within financial services or another highly regulated environment would be advantageous.</li></ul>Contract:<ul data-spread="false"><li>Initial 3-month contract, with potential for extension.</li><li>London-based.</li><li>5 days per week on-site.</li><li>Immediate / ASAP start preferred.</li><li>Financial services environment.</li></ul>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
